2007- the year of the video	Jan. 5 2007, 12:22 am
We're working on two new video projects right now... the first is a music video for our track "Diet Coke at the Gap", directed by David Green. We're still storyboarding it, but we've got a pretty amazing plan. The second one is top secret. All we can say is that we're looking at much larger video distribution schemes than YouTube. This one could be really cool, if it works...

Drunk With Power has been submitted to iTunes US/UK/Japan/etc, as well as Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, and most other online services. It takes a while to get into the systems, but we should be in there sometime around the new year.
In the meantime, you can still buy the CD (artwork and all) for only $5 right off this website. It's creamy and delicious.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Troubadour last night. I know Sunday at 8PM isn't the easiest show to make, but we blew the roof of that place. A bunch of you guys picked up copies of the new EP, too... enjoy! We're already working on the next one.

We've finished tracking our new EP, and we're in the mixing process now. We've been working with drummer/percussionist extraordinaire Dan Morris, who not only has been loads of fun to work with but has indulged our penchant for hookah-smoking in the studio. Amazing.
Anyway, keep watch on this site and on MySpace for the latest mixes. We should have the EP wrapped and pressed in a month or so. We still haven't decided on a name, so if you want to suggest one, post it in the guestbook or send it to thecheat@thecheat.net

We're gearing up for our little tour with Scissors For Lefty by doing lots of work on our abs and delts. Gotta work that shit out before you hit the road.
I just got the [mellowdrone] CD and the new Flaming Lips album. They're both pretty good. I tried to buy MF Doom's album Mmm... Food, but my stupid local record store didn't have it. I bet Amoeba would have it. I need to move to Hollywood.

Hey everyone. As you can see, the site is finally up. We'd like to thank Will at Perspective Images, who not only did a great job, but was incredibly easy to work with and gave us a great deal. Highly recommended.
Anyway, now that we're online again, we're going to work on getting the online store up so you can buy all sorts of sweet Cheat gear. Also, we're working on finishing our second EP, which will be for sale here, on iTunes, Amazon, Buy.com, etc. MP3s from the EP will stream from here as soon as they're ready.
Take a look around, sign up for the email list, and let us know what you think of the site. Not that we're changing it. We just want to know.
